Properties
PBTC has low phosphoric and structural properties of both phosphoric acid and carboxylic acid groups, providing excellent scale and corrosion inhibition properties. Its ability to prevent delamination at high temperatures is significantly better than organophosphines. It can increase the solubility of zinc salts, has good chlorine oxidation tolerance, and good composite synergy.

Usage
PBTC is a highly effective scale and corrosion inhibitor. PBTCA is an excellent stabilizer for zinc salt. Suitable for composites with zinc salts and copolymers, it is widely used as a scale and corrosion inhibitor in circulating cold water systems and oilfield fill water systems.
PBTCA can be used in high temperature, high hardness, high alkalinity, and high concentration index environments. It is used as a chelating agent and metal detergent in lavage areas.
PBTCA is often used in combination with zinc salts, copolymers, organophosphines, imidazoles, and other water treatment agents. When used alone, a dosage of 5-15 mg/L is preferred.
Packaging and Storage
200L plastic drums, IBC (1000L), as per customer requirements. Storage can be stored for one year in a shaded, dry place.
Safety Protection
Acidic. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact, rinse with plenty of water.
Additional Properties
- As a good corrosion inhibitor, PBTCA is widely used in antifouling treatment in circulating cold water systems and oilfield water injection systems.
- It has excellent complexation ability with Ca²⁺, Zn²⁺, Cu²⁺, and Mg²⁺ ions.
- Suitable pH range: 7.0 – 9.5
- Can operate in high temperature, high hardness, and high alkalinity conditions.
- Allows the cooling water concentration factor to be increased by 7 or more.
